Bundled in Buffalo Plaid

Buffalo plaid coat: Vintage (via Peddler's Mall Stores)   |   Chambray shirt: Vintage (similar here)   |    Faux leather leggings- Macy's (old-similar here)    |    Fringed boots: Anthropologie   |   Lace choker: Miss Molly Vintage

Confession: I am a hoarder of vintage coats.  My jacket + coat collection is getting out of control and it just seems to expand more every year.  The beauty of vintage, is that many of these coats are so well made and such classic styles that I never want to get rid of them!  It also doesn't help when you find one (or two, or three....) for $5, then you REALLY can't pass them up!   I also love the fit of vintage coats and they really are SO much warmer than modern styles.  Every year I say that I am going to purge some before I allow myself to add anymore, but it's just nearly impossible to part with these beauties.

This buffalo plaid coat is just another new addition to my collection that I picked up recently at Peddler's Mall Stores (The Middletown Peddler Mall in Louisville to be exact).  One booth had an entire rack of vintage plaid coats, most under $20, so of course I left with at least two!  The majority of my vintage coat collection is plaid or faux fur, but I had yet to find the perfect buffalo plaid coat like this one.  It has been my go-to coat lately, so warm and comfortable, and it basically makes an outfit on its own (I just layered it over some simple, minimal pieces here).  I also like that it feels very festive and holiday appropriate!  If you would love to find a similar vintage buffalo plaid coat, I've linked some below- or check out Etsy here for lots of great options!
